~I helped Chuck load 16 bags at the Food Pantry, called in payroll, dropped off mail at Susan's house, got a skein of CSS Grey Heather at Hobby Lobby, got Cokes at Albertsons & 2 Tshirts & a denim vest at Goodwill.

~Back home, I made Granola Muffins, did a load of laundry & made a Girly hat in CSS Grey Heather/Turquoise.

~It started snowing around 3:30pm, heavy wet flakes.

~We had bacon cheeseburger wraps for supper.

~I made 3 more Tropical Granny squres & joined them to the lap blanket.

Hat Sold!!

~I got up earlier than usual so i can get everything done before early service.

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smith's.

~After putting groceries away, I made Spinach Devil Eggs & Apple Craisin pecan salad for the Annual Meeting Potluck.

~I attended 9:30 am service, helping Norm take up the lelments.

~I took the minutes at the Annual Meeting. With 3 Vestry positions open & 3 nominees, Mike got on without having to give a speech.

~Back home, I made a Girly Hat in CSS Berry Blue/Cream.

~I attended 4:30pm service with Mike.

~I made Mike a PB/AB wrap for supper.

~We watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We had seen it before, but this time I stayed awake for it all,lol.

Actions speak louder than words

~I started early with chores, sweeping the floors, vacuuming the rugs and cleaning the front door & patio door glass. The doggies make a lot of slobber(eww)!

~I went to the Family Thrift Center & Goodwill, but didn't find anything. Two shirts I tried on didn't hang right.

~Mike got off work at 12pm. We helped out at DHT class. I spent most of my time with one lady. It was a good group in this class.

Hat Sold!!

I sold a Cheyenne Hat in Meadow/Poppy to Diana in TN

~Mike drove me to work. I started the bulletins for Feb 6, before Ms. Jeannine came in for edits on the Jan 30 bulletin. With only one service, it went quickly & I hade them printed/folded inserted in no time! I helped Fr. Jim with more computer stuff(I''m now Tech Support, LOL). After lunch, we went on a "Road Trip" to purchase the typewriter for the office. It is just like the one Fr. Jim brought from home. I'm so excited! Mike came & picked me up at 1pm.

~We attended Defensive handgun Technique class as "Student Instructors". We have a class of 4 ladies/4 guys,which is a good number. This class seems more enthusiastic then the last two. They all did pretty good. I will be working one-on-one with one lady tomorrow to build her confidence.

~Mike drove me to work early so we could finish the newsletters. Ms. Jeannine came in for edits to the Annual Report. I got them all printed & stapled. I was thinking I would have to come in Saturday to do the! Mike came & picked me up.

~We went to Office Max to look at electric typewriters. I am authorized to pick one for use in the office. We found one similiar to the one Fr. Jim brought in from home. We will most likely take a "road trip" tomorrow to pick it up!

~I made a Cheyenne hat in LB Homespun Wildfire & worked on the Tropical granny lap blanket.

~We had grilled hot dog wraps for supper & watched Percy jackson & the Olympians Lightning Thief. It was good visually, but the acting was not real good.

~At the office, I got the newsletter printed out & a few stapled. I worked on the bulletin, just one this week for the combined service. I got a rought draft of the Annual Meeting report ready for editing,too!

~I dropped off Peanut Butter Crispies for the Napa Boys.

~Back home, I cooked up a batch of bacon & started a Granny Square lap blanket with Swimming Pool Green, Vanilla Ice Cream, Orange Crush & Sunshine yellow. It is very tropical!

~We had bacon cheeseburgers for supper & watched "Outlander". It was pretty good.

~I swept the floor before leaving the house & going to the Family Thrift Center. I was there only an hour,so only got to look about half the store. I didn't find anything!

~At 10am, I went up to the office to make edits on the newsletter.

~I got a few groceries at Lomas Albertsons(they don't have our applebutter!), got Tyvec envelopes at Staples & did find the apple butter at Candelaria Albertson's.

~Back home, I had Pumpkin Sausage soup & honey wheat pretzels for lunch & made a Kalispell Hat in Caron Dazzleaire Silver Sparkle with a pink/black ribbon & finished a Garland of Blossoms scarf in Black/Multi.

~Date Nite tonight due to a DHT class on Thu/Fri. Only 8 shooters, so after warmup, we practiced one-handed to get a feel for recoil. At break, I was presented a bouquet & thank-you card that read "Nothing makes a bunch of old men feel more secure than being in the presence of a well-armed woman who knows how to shoot--and who brings them COOKIES! Thanks from the rest of the Choir(what Mike & I call "Date Nite" the others call "Choir Practice"). I cried. After break, we went down range and shot multiple targets and turning to shoot.

~I attended 10:30 A.M. service & read the first reading. I helped with Coffee Hour,too.

~Back home, I made a Sedona Hat in LB Homespun Covered Bridge Red with an edging & ruffled flower pin in vintage Caron Dazzleaire Silver Sparkle. It's so pretty!

~I attended 4:30 P.M. worship with Mike.

~We had PB/AB wraps for supper. I need to start doing product reviews.

~I made Scotcheroos and swept the floor. The rest of the afternoon, I crocheted. I made a Girly Hat in Winding River/Mochatini, a Boa Scarf in Fun Fur Raspberry/sport Cream & a Cheyenne Hat in RHS Fiesta Country Blue/Barn red. Music practice was cancelled.

I haven't made one of this style in quite a while. A great way to use up scraps! I also made an Artisan Scarf in LB Incredible Autumn Leaves.

~Busy all day! Edits to the bulletins then print/fold/stuff. I helped Fr. Jim & Ms. Jeannine with downloading pictures from the internet to a thumbdrive. They both think I'm a Computer Wizard,LOL! Typed up gospel for Contemporary service, finished edits on Parish List & worked on monthly newsletter. I could have used another hour this week!

~Date Nite-Warmups followed by "feeling the gun" drills. Concentrating on recoil, shot placement, finding the sights,etc. Hammer drill-first shot 1.43, a new record!

~Vestry Meeting went on for 2 hours, with Fr. Jim & I having to leave while the budget was discussed.

Debbie's scarf

Artisan Scarf in Moda Dea Curious. My sister, Debbie, sent me 3 skeins & requested a scarf 8" x 60". It used exactly 2 skeins & I kept the extra skein as "payment". She liked it so much, she is searching for more "fringey" yarns!

~I made a Spinach Sausage casserole for Potluck on Sunday evening & a half-batch of pumpkin Sausage soup for me. When it cooled, I seperated it into 4 bowl & put them in the freezer.

~I was in a cleaning mood this morning & scrubbed things that hadn't been cleaned in months, along with sweeping the floor.

~I made a Wenatchee Hat in retro Love Knit Denim Blue with Americana pony beads & a Flapper Beanie in RHS Gold/RHS Fleck Black.

~We had Chicken wraps for supper & watched The Expendables. It was just okay.

Mmmmmm!

At Big Lots, I found The Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps, pretzels flat like chips. It was way easier to cover these with melted chocolate & crushed peppermint candies. The sweet/salty combo was a hit both places I took them for Christmas.


~I decided to stay home today! I made 2 Pumpkin Custards(one for DOK Potluck tomorrow), cooked a batch of bacon(Farmland is best) & swept the floors. Of course, right after sweeping, jake came in from rolling around in the back yard & got dry grass all over!

~I made a Cheyenne hat in LB Homespun Prairie/unknown wool Bittersweet, a Sedona hat in CP Dark Violet/LB Homespun Prairie & a Tie Dye Beanie in RHS Gemstone. I also made a Stained Glass granny square in the Gemstone.

~I made Mike a bacon cheeseburger wrap for supper.

~At the office, I worked on reports to the annual meeting, printed/folded/inserted bulletins & filled out baptismal cards. Fr. Jim brought in his typewriter from home(the one in the office is junk!). The president of the Brothers of the Hood came in & I showed him the programs on my computer to edit for meetings. He was very happy not to have to do the typing himself! I started on the bulletins for next week. I also took the paper Christmas hearts off the garlands around the windows. I have decided to leave them up & just change the decorations every month. I'm thinking snowflakes for the rest of January.
~Date Night: I did good,except for reloading,until my K9 broke. Something having to do with the trigger. I left it with Tony to see if he can fix it.

~I went to work a little early to pick up the bulletins in the church. Fr. Jim helped me with a baptismal bulletin, then I did regular edits. I did the final financials for 2010, did some updates on the calendar(paper & online) & worked some on 2011 parish list. It snowed some when I left work.

~I made a Flapper Skullcap in double-strand RH Lustersheen Silver gray with a star flower pin in RH L Plum/Black.

~We had Cheesy Hotdog Grilled Wraps for supper & watched Terminator Salvation.

Hat Sold!!

~I stopped off to get gas($2.72 per gallon)before going to Big Lots. Along with cocoa mix & soup, I got children's socks & underwear for the DoK drive for Joy Junction.

~I helped Chuck load bags at the Food pantry & called in payroll.

~I found flatbreads at Lomas Albertsons. It looks like they stock them on the weekends, so now I know to go there every Monday. I also got frozen meatballs & raspberry syrup.

~Back home, I made Banana Cranberry Spice Muffins from the Fiber One website. I had 2 bananas from a fruit basket & let them get all brown before using them. The batter tasted good & they smelled good while baking, but I didn't have one. I made them muffinettes, filling the muffin cups only half way,to make 24.

~I made a Scarflette in Bernat Galaxy "Deep Space"/Caron Wintuk "Rosewine" & a Bottineau Hat in RHS "Black"/Moda Dea Wild "Flames".

~We had burgers for supper.

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smith's. It is so cold,I'm wearing tights under my cargos!

~I decided it was too cold to wear a skirt to church, so I just kept on my cargos. As it turned out, I did the first reading(the person scheduled had to leave for personal issues). Ms. Dorothy complimented me! I helped Anne & Mell with coffee hour.

~Back home, I had soup for lunch & made a Snowboarder Skullie in Phentex Chunky Black. I used the leftovers on a toddler hat along with unknown chunky Hot Pink. Mell had told me her daughter, Briana, works in a nursery with 2-year olds & they need hats.

~We attended 4:30 pm Contemporary Worship.

~I worked on the Fiesta Country Blue prayer shawl, finishing up one skein.

~We watched "Shooter".
