Christ is Risen!!!

Come awake, come awake!!

~ We got groceries at Walmart & Smiths.

~We went to the church early to help with the Bake Sale, then attended 10:30am service. We just got to worship, since there were extra ushers & 2 new acolytes. There was an adult baptisms & the Prayer Shawl Ministry gave him a lap blanket. We helped again after the service with the Bake Sale, leaving the rest for the 4:30pm service. We helped cleanup.

~We helped at CCW class. There were 2 women, but they had bad attitudes & it was a real chore just to get them qualified.

~We did security at the church & I picked up my bake sale leftovers.

Good Friday

He was pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our sins,

The punishment that brought us peace was upon him,

And by his wounds, by His wounds we are healed.

We are healed by Your sacrifice, and the life that You gave.

We are healed for You payed the price, by Your grace we are saved, we are saved.

What can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

~I went to to the Family Thrift Center (shirt & bowl) & Goodwill (shoes) before heading up to the church for Seven Last Words service. Jean, Sharon & I wore black cassocks & rotated the readings. The 3-hour service really makes you think.

~I made a few Stained Glass granny squares.

~We had bacon cheeseburger wraps for supper.

~At 6:30p.m., we went back to the church so Mike could help Fr. Jim move all the furniture back into his office. The floor seems to be dry!

~I opened the box sent by Mom from KY. Lots of cool things!

~I went to the Family Thrift Center, finding 2 shirts, one I paid for & put on even before leaving the store! I stopped by Napa to see Mike. He thought he was going to work only til 2pm, but texted me he worked until 4pm.

~I swept the floor, worked on the Painted Desert granny lap blanket & took a nap.

~Mike & I went up to the church early to help with any last-minute things before the service started at 5pm. I ended up helping as "music director" for the organist/pianist & leading the service music. The Contemporary Worship Group sang "Angels we have heard on high". We got applause! It was a wonderful evening.
