~Mike drove me to the office & he spent the morning replacing shingles on the church roof. I paid bills, worked on bulletins for the rest of the month & started the May newsletter.

~I finished the Two-tone Roseburg hat in Emberglow/Rockwood Clay & made a solid Roseburg Hat in Redheart Supersaver Cafe.

~We has sausage omelet wraps for supper.

Hats Sold!!

~I stopped by Big Lots for a few things & found peanut butter "singles", 8-count for $1! I got 5 packs for the Food Pantry & will get more on Friday, if they still have it. Great price! I helped load bags at the Food Pantry & called in Payroll.

~Back home, I made Oatmeal bars, but instead of using jam, I used a can of apple pie filling. We'll see how it works! I also did a load of laundry, swept the floors & sorted the rest of the sugar.

~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in Caron Simply Soft Autumn Red & started a Prayer Shawl in Jo-Ann Sensations Rainbow Boucle Pink.

~I made Mike a cheesy chicken bacon wrap for supper.

Scarf Sold!!

Scroogey Scarf in Apricot sold to Lana in MO

~I attended Daughters of the King & helped out a little after with Altar Guild.

~I made 2 round Pineapple Upside-down Cakes & made the Confetti Cupcakes fancy by adding white icing, colored coconut "grass" & pastel candy-coated chocolates. They are cute! I also cooked up a pound of sausage & sorted vegetables.

~I made Mike a hot ham/cheese wrap for supper.

Scarves Sold!!

~I stopped at Big Lots (applesauce, pineapple rings, baggies & Tangos)before heading up to the church to help load food bags.

~Back home, I made 2 dozen confetti cupcakes which I will decorate for the Easter bake sale. I also cooked up a pound of bacon, sorted noodles into baggies & also some dry beans, for the food pantry.

~I didn't crochet all afternoon, just watched TV & napped.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.

~I worked on the Fall Leaves lap blanket.

Lap Blanket in Red Heart Supersaver Coral/Teal for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry

~I did a load of laundry, made 2 dozen Oatmeal Carrot Muffins, dusted the furniture & swept the floors.

~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in Caron Simply Soft Cypress with Pink/White plaid fabric buttons. I also made a Girly Hat in the same Cypress yarn with a Hot Pink flower.

~I made Mike a warm ham/cheese wrap for supper.

Hat Sold!!

Special order Sedona Hat in Naked/Boo sold to Judith in MO

~I stopped by Big Lots for multi grain tortilla chips & found Stauffer's Lemon Snaps, which I have not tried for Coconut bar crust. I also picked up a package of dried pineapple.

~I helped load bags at the Food Pantry, called in payroll & sorted mail.

~Back home, I made Coconut Bars with the lemon cookie crust, white chips, almonds & pineapple. The package of cookies was exactly enough for 2 batches. I also did a load of laundry & swept the floors.

~I spent the afternoon working on scrap granny squares.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.

New for Spring!

I saw pictures of Flower Pens & thought they were cool. So, I used my Star Flower pin pattern & modified it to fit an ink pen (10-count pack for $1). I made each one a different color. I like them!

~I started a load of laundry before leaving the house to help out at Cleanup Day at the church. I pulled weeds, picked up trash & swept up leaves.

~Back home, I finished laundry & made a Button Medallion Choker in Turquoise blue.

~I made Mike a cheesy chicken bacon wrap for supper.

~We decided to try the TV series Merlin & ended up watching 2 episodes. It's pretty good!

Lap Blanket

Patriotic granny squares for the Prayer Shawl Ministry. This used 3 different scraps of red and off-white, joined with Red Heart Supersaver Blue.

~We went to the Family Thrift Center in separate trucks for the 1/2-price sale. Mike found some Rockport boots for $8,then left. I was there for another hour and didn't find anything!

~We went to Charlie's to lay away a .45 1911 for Mike, then onto Sportsmans Warehouse for a reloading part. We stopped by Albertson's on the way home for a few groceries.

~Back home, I did a load of laundry, baked a Spinach Sausage Casserole & Oatmeal Sourcherry jam bars.

~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in no-label Yellow yarn. I suspect it is some older Caron Simply Soft. I added some fun green buttons.

~We had omelet wraps for supper.

~I made a Tulsa Hat in Scrap/Black.

~We watched Faster. This was one of those movies where there was no good guy, just bad and badder guys. There was one part that was good about forgiveness and redemption, but I would not recommend this movie.

~I tried doing some work with our website, uploading pdf's of Bible Study notes, but I could not make it work. I have built websites in the past,but the server we're using is not very user-friendly. We have officially booked all 28 indoor spaces for the spring craft show.

~We watched Centurion.

~I attended 10:30 A.M. service, where I was Crucifer and Acolyte. I stayed after coffee hour to attend the Ministry Meeting.

~I tried a new pattern for hexagon squares for some Red Heart Supersaver Coral, but decided to just make regular granny squares.

~We had omelet wraps for supper.

Prayer Shawl

Diamond in Red Heart Supersaver Blue for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry.

~I had Mike show me the 1911 system before he went to work I feel that I need to learn all operating systems if I'm going to help teach classes.

~I finished the laundry I started yesterday morning. I also swept the floors & vacuumed the rugs.

~I made a batch of Kiss My Pig cookies. I used a chocolate chip cookie recipe, exchanging the butter for bacon grease(the "pig' part) & used a cup of chopped up Hershey Kisses (the "kiss" part). They are pretty good!

~I went to Albertson's for eggs & also found flatbreads on sale. The Baby Bee Hushabye yarn was on sale so I couldn't use my coupon for it. Instead, I picked up a skeain of Caron Simply Soft Passion. I dropped off cookies for the Napa Boys.

~Back home, after lunch, I made a Butterfly Pinafore in the Passion yarn. It is silky & shiny, so i added blingier buttons. it's cute!

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.

~I made a Roseburg hat in Red Heart Supersaver Coffee, but the flower pin will be made tomorrow.

~We watched The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption. It was funny, with bad acting, but totally mindless, which is sometimes good in a movie.

~Back home, I cooked up a pound of sausage & did a load of laundry.

~I picked up Mike from work early & we helped out at CCW class.

Butterfly Pinafores Sold!!

These Butterfly Pinafores were sold to Pam, a member of my church.

~Mike brought me to work then he worked on the drain. I got the bulletins & prayers printed & and spent the rest of the day working on calenders & the newsletter. Mike ended up having to call a plumber, who then recommend RotoRooter. They got it cleaned out!

~Date Nite: After warmups, we did reloading drills, then went down range & shot pivots(back to the target, look over shoulder, turn, shoot 2 to the body, reload, head shot).

~I made Mike a grilled hotdog wrap for supper.

~We watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This one was less drama, more fun, like the first one.

~Back home, after lunch, I made a Butterfly Pinafore in Yarn Bee Hushabye Chocolate brown with turquoise/white decorative buttons.

~We had omelet wraps for supper.

Button Garland Sold!!

~Mike took me to work. I got the bulletins done with no problem & finished the parochial report.

~Revolver Date Nite: After warmups, we shot with our eyes closed with reloads. The idea is to own your stance, which includes removing the gun from the holster & having your body positioned in such a way that you are on target, even in the dark.

~Back home, I made Oatmeal Carrot cakes, in Twinkie shape & muffin shape. They smell wonderful! I also swept the floors.

~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red Heart Lustersheen White.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog, multigrain chips & sweet pickle supper.
