~I picked up pork rinds at Big Lots before heading up to the church. I picked up bulletins from Sunday, helped Chuck load bags at the Food pantry & sorted recyclables. I started filling out the Parachuial Report online then realized the priest/deacon section hadn't been filled out. I will have to finish it tomorrow. I called in payroll, adding the new oragist/choir director, & handed out one food bag.

~I dropped a piece of mail off at Susan's house & used my gift card & 40% off coupon on a skein of CSS Nutmeg.

CARBmaster Yogurt

This is our nightly treat! I learned about it from my father, who is diabetic. He also eats this as his daily treat. 80 calories, 4 carbs(1 is fiber), 12 grams protein. We add a tsp chopped pecans & 2 Tbsp FiberOne Honey Clusters cereal. Mike likes Cherry & Raspberry. I like Blackberry & Raspberry. They are found at Kroger & Smith's. There are many more flavors. Try it!

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smiths.

~I helped Anne usher at the 10:30am service & helped with coffee hour afterwards. I also helped at Wii Game Day. It seemed like the kids had a good time. I started a Garland of Blossoms scarf while there in vintage Dazzleaire in a Dusty orange mix & Olive. It's very pretty! Mike came to 4:30pm service.

We cannot allow evil to flourish

~I swept the florr, did a load of laundry & made Turkey/Veggie Cream Cheese/Tomato Flatbread rollup for the party tonight.

~At the Family Thrift Center, I got a strand of pearls(I think they're real!) & earrings to complete my "Pretty in Pink" outfit. I also got a can crusher, which we have not been able to find new. Woo Hoo!! I went to Goodwill but didn't find anything.

~I made a Barstow hat in unknown Dusty Blue/Berry Cobbler & watch "The Village". It was pretty cool.

~Mike & I went to Janelle's Decades Birthday party to celebrate her 50th. Most of the costumes were from the '70's, but the winner was punk. I wouldn't have recognized him if not for the Jeep he drives! It was a fun night.

Mmmmmm!

Peanut Butter Crispies
The "official" name for these is "Scotcheroos", but the only "scotch" is 1/2 cup butterscotch chips(melted with 1/2 cup chocolate chips) on the top. I use Jif Extra Crunchy peanut butter, hence the rename.

~Sweep floors, make bacon, dust furniture, sort magazines/catalogs.
~I finished the edging on the RHS royal Diamond Prayer shawl, made a Roseburg hat in unknown Black/Berry cobbler, a toddler hat in unknown chunky Purple Heather & worked some on granny squares.
~Mike didn't get home until 5:30pm, so we just had PB/AB wraps for supper.

Super-crocheter!

Check out Clara's Crochet Room! You will find the pattern for this cute Ribbed Tweedy Tote.

~Mike & me went to the office early to collate, staple, fold, tape, address & stamp the newsletter. We finished right as Fr. Jim got in. With just a few edits to the bulletins, they were printed/folded/inserted in no time! I worked on the zip code list(boy, does this fry my brain!) as well as a few letters & typing tags for files.

~Date Nite-Warmups followed by timed-shooting from 3,5 & 7yds. I am the same as last time(1.5 at 3, 1.7 at 5 & 1.9 at 7),but I had my fastest reload ever at 2.27. It was like buttah! We did some shooting on the move going forward at 3 targets. We haven't done this in quite a while, so the first time, I wasn't close enough to the targets before shooting, but the second time was great! Fun night!!

He let loose the east wind from the heavens and by his power made the south wind blow. Psalm 78:26

Wind-rippled White Sands,NM

~Mike took me to work where I was busy all day! I finished sendind the Vestry/Committee Head emails before Ms. Jeannine came in around 10am to do edits on the newsletter. We were so into it, I didn't remember to make coffee until the service was over! I then started printing out the newsletter & worked on putting the parish list into order by zip code(as requested by the stewardship head). I am mentally wasted!

~Mike drove us to Lomas Albertsons to check on flatbreads, but all they had was Light Tomato. I went ahead and got a package, along with vegetable cream cheese & smoked turkey for appetizer for a party on Saturday.

~I finished the skein of RHS Peruvian print. It made 11 4-round granny squares. I will be joining them with Rust, but I need to decide on other colors to coordinate with it.

~We had bacon cheeseburger wraps for supper.

Turkey Breakfast Patties

On the road, we looked for ways to cook in the truck with limited space for a small microwave & dorm-size refrigerator. We started using the Great Value Pork Sausage Patties from Walmart & found them to be tasty & convenient. We continued using them when we came off the road. We have since switched to the Turkey patties to save on calories & fat. The taste is different, but still good. I cut one up every morning in our omelet.

~At the office, I worked on the newsletter & printed one out for final edits. I also worked on bulletins & Vestry/Committee lists.

~I dropped off Oatmeal Chocolate Rainbow Chip cookies for the Napa Boys.

~We had chicken bacon cheese wraps for supper.

~I made 4-round granny squares in RHS Peruvian Print.

~We watched "Knight & Day". I don't like Cameron Diaz(too goofy)to begin with, but they seemed to just mail it in. I do like chicks with guns, though, & there were some good chase/shooting scenes, so I would give it 2 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Give lead

Refuse to be a victim!

~I went to Big Lots(pork rinds, pretzels)before heading to the church to help Chuck load food bags. I stayed at the office until 10:30am, hoping to do final edits on the newsletter, but Fr. Jim never showed up.

~I went to Lomas Albertsons for flatbreads, but they didn't have any. I checked Candelaria Albertsons & they didn't have any either! I did get my special dark baking cocoa, organic apple butter and golden raisins.

~Back home, I washed a load of towels & shredded carrots for Carrot Applesauce Cake. It took forever! The recipe made 6 mini-bundts, 9 petite loaves & 1 mini loaf. If I make this recipe again, I will add 5 minutes to the baking time to get the edges a little browner. It is tasty!!

~Fr. Jim called me in the afternoon to help the new organist fill out paper work. He had a drs appointment this morning.

~I made a Sedona Hat in RHS Aran Fleck/unknown Black Heather.

I also worked on the newsletter. I had planned on having a copy ready for edits, but Fr. Jim put together a cabinet & didn't get his article done. I will probably spend some time on Monday working on it.

~Date Nite: I have my Kahr K9 back & it is sweet! I did have a class-2 malfunction(brass not ejected from the chamber), but it was sidewayus & not sticking up, so I did a class-3 malfunction clearing(locking back the slide, ripping out the magazine). Flatout flatbread

These flatbreads are our substitute for bread(can't remember the last time we bought a loaf!). We use them for breakfast(wrapped around our omelet), for lunch(with peanut butter/apple butter, ham/cheese, etc) & supper(with burgers or chicken). They stay soft when microwaved & get crunchy when you grill them in a skillet. They come in different flavors(we also use the original, light original & foldit 5-grain flax), but the ones pictured above are our fav!

~I attended Prayer Shawl Ministry, picking up some yarn for a Diamond shawl.

~I dropped off both Granola Muffins & Peanut Butter Crispies for the Napa Boys. Bryan is allergic to bananas & Joe is allergic to coconut, so the reason for both.

he brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers.Psalm 78:16

Soda Dam Falls,NM

~I went to the Family Thrift Center for the 1/2-off anything with red in it/on it Valentine sale. I only found a pink T-shirt(red tag) & a bag of 6 bangle bracelets(95cents), for the '80's outfit. I think I had this same set of plastic fall-color bangles in high school! I also went to Goodwill & found a floral patchwork vest('80's outfit). At the Yard Sale thrift shop, I found a short ruffle skirt for the '80's outfit.

~Back home, I put my '80's outfit together, but didn't like the short skirt or the vest! I put on a floral dress, brown tights, brown hiking boots, lace-top cream socks, boyfriend tweed blazer with the sleeves rolled up & the dusty pink straw hat from last week. Total '80's "Pretty in Pink" Andie outfit! It looks very similiar to how I dress now,but I admit that I'm still influenced by my '80's highschool days, with a bit more sophistication. I never have to worry about anyone else dressing like me,LOL!

~I did a load of laundry & swept the floors, though they were covered with hay in about 1/2 hour!

~I made a Durango Hat in ILTY Toasted Almond with a huge dusty olive/cream button. I spent the rest of the afternoon sorting buttons.

~Date Nite: 17 shooters! After warmups, we did weak-hand shooting, with reloads. Not too bad, just have to aim a little more to the left.

Progresso High Fiber Soup-Chicken Tuscany

I normally don't like canned soup, but this has to be my favorite! It is just spicy enough, has big chunks of chicken & carrots, along with Great Northern beans, which I prefer over kidney beans. I do eat the whole can at one meal, usually with some honey wheat pretzels & it keeps me full until supper-time.

~I drove Mike to work & started a load of laundry.

How fair...

Let us protect ourselves!

~Mike drove me to work. At the office, I printed/folded/stuffed bulletins for Sunday & a memorial service Friday. I used my new typewriter. It's like butter! Troy came in for Brotherhood stuff, then shoveled the sidewalk.

~Date Nite: The heater was not working in the small range! It was cold,so we all spent the evening drawing from cover(which I always do anyway). It turns out that my old brown biker coat allows full extension! I almost got rid of it last year because it is too short to use as a cover garment, but works good with my denin vest. Anyway, after warmups, we did reloading drills & timed drills. I am still getting better at the reloads & still fast on first shot, around 1.5 at the 3yd line & around 1.8 at the 7yd line.
