Sedona in Concrete/Pottery Both hats sold to Esperanza in CA
~I stopped by Big Lots for a few things & found peanut butter "singles", 8-count for $1! I got 5 packs for the Food Pantry & will get more on Friday, if they still have it. Great price! I helped load bags at the Food Pantry & called in Payroll.
~Back home, I made Oatmeal bars, but instead of using jam, I used a can of apple pie filling. We'll see how it works! I also did a load of laundry, swept the floors & sorted the rest of the sugar.
~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in Caron Simply Soft Autumn Red & started a Prayer Shawl in Jo-Ann Sensations Rainbow Boucle Pink.
~I made Mike a cheesy chicken bacon wrap for supper.
~I attended Daughters of the King & helped out a little after with Altar Guild.
~I made 2 round Pineapple Upside-down Cakes & made the Confetti Cupcakes fancy by adding white icing, colored coconut "grass" & pastel candy-coated chocolates. They are cute! I also cooked up a pound of sausage & sorted vegetables.
~Mike took me to work. I finished stuffing eggs before starting bulletins. With 4 baptisms on Sunday, I made times more bulletins then usual. We gave a way 15 bags at the Food Pantry. I helped take down banner & change the altar hangings.
~Date Nite: I carried the 1911. After warmups, we shot in the dark with flashlights, on the move.
~Mike took me to work, helping me put away Food Pantry items & taking a load of shingles up on the roof. It was busy all day, paying bills, printing out bulletins for the Holy Week services & typing out certificates for those being baptized on Sunday, as well as their sponsors. Only stuffed a few eggs.
I accidentally left out 1 cup of rice cereal when I made this batch. They turned out more dense, but still yummy!
~We got groceries at Walmart.
~Mike & I attended 8:00 A.M. service together. He then went to work. I stayed & talked with Fr. Daniel, our guest. I attended 10:30 A.M. service where i served as Crucifer, "Evangelist" of the Passion narrative , Acolyte & Lay Eucharistic Minister. After coffee hour, Anne, Kristen & me put Easter Sunday flyer's on neighborhood doors.
~I made a Boa Scarf in Premier Jasmin (fur) Dove gray/Caron Wintuk Rosewine. I also made a Bottineau Hat in the same yarns.
~I am officially the buyer for the Food Pantry. I got groceries at Walmart & Smith's, along with a few of our groceries here & at Albertsons. At the Dollar Tree, I got some "spring" dessert plates & cup cake liners, along with sunflower seeds. I dropped off the food pantry groceries, took my groceries home & picked up cookies & plastic bags. I went to Big Lots for Food Pantry applesauce & got the last 3 bags of Lemon Snaps. I dropped off Oatmeal PB/Chocolate Chip cookies for the Napa Boys. I dropped off plastic bags at the Family Thrift Center, but didn't find anything.
~Back home, I made a Button Medallion Choker in Hunter Green.
~I made Mike a cheesy bacon chicken wrap for supper.
Nothing says "warm weather is here" more than cargo shorts (clearance discount store), bright camp shirt (thrift store), & shell/cord choker (from mom-thrift store). So looking forward to it!
~Mike took me to work. I stuffed the rest of the eggs, printed bulletins & worked on calendars.
~Date Nite: After warmups, we concentrated on trigger control. At 7pm, we went into the classroom to go over the NM Justifiable Homicide rules. BTW, the Lemon Snap crust was perfect for the Lemon Thingies!

~I finished the edging on a Colorblock granny square lap blanket & worked on scrap squares.
~We had meatball wraps for supper & watched 2 more episodes of Merlin.
This is my Oatmeal Jam Bar recipe using a jar of Sourcherry (yes, that is how it was spelled on the bottle) jam from Big Lots "international" section. It was more of whole cherries in thick syrup, then real jam. It was very liquidy when it came out of the oven, but turned out very chewy. The guys really liked it!
~At the office, I got the newsletter printed/collated/stapled & addressed. I also booked 3 more outdoor spaces for the Spring Craft Fair.
~I worked on scrap granny squares.
~We had omelet wraps for supper & watched 2 more episodes of Merlin.
Cedar tree at Boyd's Sanitarium near Las Cruces, New Mexico

~Back home, I made a Sedona hat in the Naked with Boo Pink stripe & flower pin. It's cute!
~We had omelet wraps for supper.
~I made a Baby Girly Hat in the above mentioned Naked/Boo.
Kiss My Pig Cookies-I used a chocolate chip cookie recipe, substituting bacon grease for the butter & chopped up Hershey's Kisses for the chips. So good, even a pig will go cannibal for them!
~I made a batch of Mocha Brownies for the class, since the instructor likes brownies so much. They were really good!
~Day at the range. I used our AR-15 today. It is heavier, but it makes for a lower recoil. It also has a bright orange front sight which is also better. Since our class was so proficient, we did shooting on the move & pivots, which we didn't do last November. Date Night: We concentrated on basics, shot placement & keeping the sights on the target while pressing the trigger.
I actually wore this outfit last summer to a wedding, but makes me long for warmer weather. I picked the skirt (half-price!), then found the shirt to match (also half-price!), pairing it with a wood bead necklace (thrift store), burl oak bangle (custom made for me by a KY artisan), and strappy brown leather sandal (not pictured, but also from the thrift store). This outfit was different than I normally wear, and though pretty and it looked good on me, I was uncomfortable in it. I do like the color/pattern, though.
~We stopped by the church to set up coffee before heading to the range. Though I took this class last November, it was like it was all brand new! It took me quite a while to get the system back right. Of course, I am shooting a different gun, but it was better by the end of the day. So tired!
Bad guys target places where they know weapons are not allowed. Let us protect ourselves & our loved-ones at ALL times!
~Mike took me to work. We bought a 3lb can of Kirkland coffee from the church. It is the best! I paid bills, then went to the bank with Norm to put me on a Food Pantry card for purchasing groceries, which I will start doing in April. ~We went to the Family Thrift Center in separate trucks for the 1/2-price sale. Mike found some Rockport boots for $8,then left. I was there for another hour and didn't find anything!
~We went to Charlie's to lay away a .45 1911 for Mike, then onto Sportsmans Warehouse for a reloading part. We stopped by Albertson's on the way home for a few groceries.
~Back home, I did a load of laundry, baked a Spinach Sausage Casserole & Oatmeal Sourcherry jam bars.
~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in no-label Yellow yarn. I suspect it is some older Caron Simply Soft. I added some fun green buttons.
~We had omelet wraps for supper.
~I made a Tulsa Hat in Scrap/Black.
~We watched Faster. This was one of those movies where there was no good guy, just bad and badder guys. There was one part that was good about forgiveness and redemption, but I would not recommend this movie.
~Mike took me to work, then he did a few things around the church. I got the bulletins, prayers of the people & readings done. I also did more work on the newsletter. It was just me at the Food Pantry, we gave away 9 bags.
~Date Nite: We went in a little early so Mike could check out the .223 reloads, which worked great! Tonight, he shot my XDM while I shot his 1911. It was a little tricky during warmups remembering the safety, but it was okay by the time we started doing drills. We worked on feeling the gun, with shooting with eyes closed, which I did pretty good. I did cause several blood blisters on my left palm from reloading. My XDm has smooth, round edges, while the 1911 is basic, square & sharp corners. But, now I feel more competent about teaching the 1911 to students.
Scrap Granny Square lap blanket, joined with retro Red Heart Sparkling yarn in Apricot Nectar, for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry.
~I tried doing some work with our website, uploading pdf's of Bible Study notes, but I could not make it work. I have built websites in the past, but the server we're using is not very user-friendly. We have officially booked all 28 indoor spaces for the spring craft show.
~I made Mike a chicken bacon cheese wrap for supper.
~At the office, I worked on bulletins, prayers, newsletter & calenders. After work, i made a stop before going home, but then got a call from Fr. Jim right as I came in the door(about 1/2 hour after I left work). I went back up to collect a booth fee for the craft fair.
~I stopped by Big Lots (chips, crackers, jam & soup) before heading up to the church to help load bags at the Food Pantry. I also sorted mail & called in payroll. At Hobby Lobby, I used my 40%-off coupon to get a skein of Baby Bee Hushabye in Sugarplum.

~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in the above mentioned Sugarplum with white shell buttons.
~I made Mike a meatball wrap for supper.
~We watched Beowulf & Grendel. This was more of a drama, a little too slow & bloody for me. I do like Gerard Butler alot!
Diamond in Red Heart Supersaver Blue for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry.
~I had Mike show me the 1911 system before he went to work I feel that I need to learn all operating systems if I'm going to help teach classes.
~I finished the laundry I started yesterday morning. I also swept the floors & vacuumed the rugs.
~I made a batch of Kiss My Pig cookies. I used a chocolate chip cookie recipe, exchanging the butter for bacon grease(the "pig' part) & used a cup of chopped up Hershey Kisses (the "kiss" part). They are pretty good!
~I went to Albertson's for eggs & also found flatbreads on sale. The Baby Bee Hushabye yarn was on sale so I couldn't use my coupon for it. Instead, I picked up a skeain of Caron Simply Soft Passion. I dropped off cookies for the Napa Boys.
~Back home, after lunch, I made a Butterfly Pinafore in the Passion yarn. It is silky & shiny, so i added blingier buttons. it's cute!
~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.
~I made a Roseburg hat in Red Heart Supersaver Coffee, but the flower pin will be made tomorrow.
~We watched The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption. It was funny, with bad acting, but totally mindless, which is sometimes good in a movie.
~We spent the day at the range helping with CCW Draw Class.
~Date Nite: After warmups, we did 2-shot hammers (2-yard line, one sight picture for first shot, then rapid fire on second shot), 3-shot hammers, then Failure Drill(2 to the body, 1 to the head) hammers. We then went down range & shot from retention(gun close to body), with head shots & moving back one step, & at angles. After break, we had a contest with Randy. We would shoot our weapons at 25 yards, then he would shoot our weapons at 25 yards. We did this 3 times. Though he won overall, I won all 3 of my shots! It was an awesome night!!
This is another of those "reminds me of Kentucky" displays. The rack is from a thrift store, while the lap blanket was from a yard sale.
~At the office, I paid bills, Ms. Jeannine came in for edits to the bulletins. I got the 8am ones done, but never received the music for the 10:30am ones. I will have to go back in on Saturday to finish them up.

~I added buttons to the Monet Little Tweed Bag & made a 4-round granny square in Monet.
~We watched The Siege of Firebase Gloria. It was not real good, as far as acting. I'm sure a documentary about this true story would be much better.
~I am working today & tomorrow so I can take off Wednesday & Thursday. I worked on bulletins, newsletter, prayers & sorting craft show stuff. We now have 19 crafters booked, with 9 spaces left. We are still trying to decide if we will sell outdoor spaces.
~We had pepperoni omelets for supper.
~I made a Small Tweed Bag in Red Heart Monet/unknown sport-weight Yellow. Am still looking for buttons to go on it.
