Peace

There will always be those predators in society who will take down the oldest, smallest or weakest in the herd. Even the odds.

~We got groceries at Walmart.

~We attended 8:00 A.M. service. Mike stayed for Coffee Hour, then went to work. I attended 10:30 A.M. service where I was Crucifer and Acolyte.

~I started a Butterfly Pinafore in Caron Simply Soft Grey Heather, but it only made it to 5 rows on the skirt. I frogged it. I did finish the Sensations shawl. It turned out really pretty!

~I made Mike a meatball wrap for supper.

Stand up!

Stand up for the right to protect yourself!

~At the office, I worked on bulletins & the newsletter. I laid out the order for craft show booths.

~I started a Roseburg Hat in Emberglow, but ran out before completing the last 2 rows of the brim. I will add Rockwood Clay for a "spectator" hat.

~Mike closed the store.

When seconds count...

...threat stopped in .62

~Mike took me to work, helping me put away Food Pantry items & taking a load of shingles up on the roof. It was busy all day, paying bills, printing out bulletins for the Holy Week services & typing out certificates for those being baptized on Sunday, as well as their sponsors. Only stuffed a few eggs.

~I finished the Gray heather Durango Hat.

~We had meatball sandwiches for supper.

No teenage angst...

...she knows exactly what to do, if necessary.

~I am officially the buyer for the Food Pantry. I got groceries at Walmart & Smith's, along with a few of our groceries here & at Albertsons. At the Dollar Tree, I got some "spring" dessert plates & cup cake liners, along with sunflower seeds. I dropped off the food pantry groceries, took my groceries home & picked up cookies & plastic bags. I went to Big Lots for Food Pantry applesauce & got the last 3 bags of Lemon Snaps. I dropped off Oatmeal PB/Chocolate Chip cookies for the Napa Boys. I dropped off plastic bags at the Family Thrift Center, but didn't find anything.

~Back home, I made a Button Medallion Choker in Hunter Green.

~I made Mike a cheesy bacon chicken wrap for supper.

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smith's.

~I attended the 10:30 A.M. service, where I served as Crucifer, Lay Reader & Acolyte.

Books...

Bad guys target places where they know weapons are not allowed. Let us protect ourselves & our loved-ones at ALL times!

~Mike took me to work. We bought a 3lb can of Kirkland coffee from the church. It is the best! I paid bills, then went to the bank with Norm to put me on a Food Pantry card for purchasing groceries, which I will start doing in April. I finished bulletins & prayers and got a rough draft of the newsletter printed out for editing. I helped Fr. Jim hang the FPU banner on the side of the Parish Hall.

~I made Mike a cheesy grilled hot dog wrap for supper.

~We attended Vestry, picking up/dropping off J. Harper.

Liberty

April 19, 1775
When marksmanship met history, and the heritage began

~Mike took me to work, then he did a few things around the church. I got the bulletins, prayers of the people & readings done. I also did more work on the newsletter. It was just me at the Food Pantry, we gave away 9 bags.

~Date Nite: We went in a little early so Mike could check out the .223 reloads, which worked great! Tonight, he shot my XDM while I shot his 1911. It was a little tricky during warmups remembering the safety, but it was okay by the time we started doing drills. We worked on feeling the gun, with shooting with eyes closed, which I did pretty good. I did cause several blood blisters on my left palm from reloading. My XDm has smooth, round edges, while the 1911 is basic, square & sharp corners. But, now I feel more competent about teaching the 1911 to students.

Remember history...

~I went up to the church to finish the bulletins. While there, I also did some paperwork for the spring craft show.

~Back home, after lunch, I made a flower pin for the Coffee Roseburg hat in Tina of California Ultra in Dark Rose. I also made 5 more Flower Pens & a Button Medallion Choker in Bridal Blue.

~I made Mike a ham/cheese wrap for supper.

911 vs. 123456

...or in my case 12345, speed reload, 12345

~I am working today & tomorrow so I can take off Wednesday & Thursday. I worked on bulletins, newsletter, prayers & sorting craft show stuff. We now have 19 crafters booked, with 9 spaces left. We are still trying to decide if we will sell outdoor spaces.

~We had pepperoni omelets for supper.

~I made a Small Tweed Bag in Red Heart Monet/unknown sport-weight Yellow. Am still looking for buttons to go on it.

Petite...

...does not equal easy prey.

~After stopping off at Big Lots, I went up to the church to help load bags at the Food Pantry & call in Payroll. At Hobby Lobby, I picked up a skein of Baby Bee Hushabye Boo Pink.

~Back home, I cooked up a pound each of bacon & sausage & swept the floors.

~I made a Little Tweed Bag in Red Heart Lipstick/Black.

~I made Mike a chicken bacon cheese wrap for supper.

~We watched the last half of Streets of Laredo.

Being prey...

I choose to take responsibility for my own protection!

~Mike drove me to work, then came back later so we could attend Ash Wednesday service together. Busy day at the office. I got the newsletter printed out, the e-version completed, worked on a music insert for Lent & started on the minutes from last nights Vestry meeting. Did not get everything done I wanted to!

~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red Heart Lustersheen Silver gray with a blue flower pin.

~We had pepperoni omelet wraps for supper.

Pink!

How embarrassing for the bad guy to be taken down by a GIRL with a PINK rifle!

~I made a batch of Oatmeal cookies with Chocolate & Peanut Butter Chips. It does work better to use half butter/half crisco.

~At the Family Thrift Center, I got a T-shirt(1/2-price). I got a few groceries at Albertsons (eggs .88 a dozen, limit 2)then dropped off Peanut Butter Buckeye Brownies for the Napa Boys.

~I made a Button Medallion Choker in Light Sage with a pearl button.

~We had supper at the Hunter's & played a round of a new card game. Mike won, I came in last. It was a fun evening.

Pink

I went a long time without wearing pink. It was too stereotypical & I refused to be put in that box. I now realize that you can be girly & still be a gunfighter. Being feminine in pink is camo!

~At the office, I worked on bulletins & the parish parochial, which consist of matching names with our books, of which there are about 10 to go through, since St. Mary's used to be two other churches that merged in 1989. Some of the past admins did not keep good records. I emailed out 3 more applications for the spring craft show!

~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red Heart Lustersheen Pastel Ombre with a Black flower pin centered with a pink bow.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap, honey wheat pretzel & sweet pickle supper. I had Beef Barley soup.

~We attended a special Vestry meeting.

Baaad...

We have two ladies out of a class of nine at the CCW Draw Class. They can take care of themselves!

~Another full day at CCW Draw Class, followed by Date Nite: Warmups, then reloading drills (all-time best:2.4 seconds!), accuracy drills (I won on one!) then down range for multiple targets. Fun night!

"Spectator" AR

Spectator-a woman's fashion accessory consisting of two contrasting colors. This fits!

~I went to the Family Thrift Center & tried on a cover shirt, but it was way big. It is amazing to me the difference in a small from different manufacturers. Some are teeny tiny while others are like tents! I have found that the best women's small clothes come from Anne Taylor Loft, New York & Company and Banana Republic. These manufacturer's seem to understand that we want to dress with class & style.

~I stopped by Albertson's for eggs($1 per dozen-I got 4!), spice cake mix, carrots, pineapple(making carrot cupcakes tomorrow!), hashbrowns & green chiles). The final stop before heading home was dropping off Oatmeal Cookies for the Napa Boys.

~I tried using the small sewing machine I got at auction, but it was a piece of poop! I will have to rethink making the crochet-top pillowcase dresses. I did make another Button Medallion Necklace. I started with a Bridal Blue, but ran out of that color on the edging, so I used Cream. I then used a Cream/Gold button & it looks so pretty! These are fast & easy to make & should be good sellers in the spring.

~I made Green Chile Hashbrown casserole for the Annual Meeting Potluck on Sunday.

~I used some 1970's Jungle multicolor for 4-round granny square & a Tie Dye Beanie. This is some funky yarn, 2 shades of green with rust & brown. It almost looks like Dazzleaire with the slightly sparkly & fuzzy look.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.

~We watched Serenity. We will miss these guys!

Keep'em guessing...

In research sponsored by the U.S. Justice Department, in which almost 2,000 felons were interviewed, 34% of felons said they had been "shot at, scared off, wounded or captured by an armed victim", and 40% of these criminals admitted that they had been deterred from committing a crime out of fear that the potential victim was armed.

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smith's. We discovered that, except for eggs, everything was less expensive at Walmart, not counting special sales, than at Albertson's.

~We attended 10:30 A.M. mass where Mike was Usher & I was Crucifer, Lay Reader & Acolyte. We spent only a short time at coffee hour.

~We helped out with CCW class. Randy LOVED his Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes ,as did everyone else who tried them.

EBR

Basic Black-Goes with everything!

~I made a batch of Oatmeal cookies, but they ran badly. I did use all butter & real white sugar when I normally do just under half crisco for butter & Splenda. They still taste good, just not pretty. I swept the floors & cooked up a pound of sausage.

~I made a Little Tweed Bag in retro Brown/Orange/White multicolor & worked on scrap squares.

~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap for supper.

~We watched Hanna. It was more of a drama than we like with a little action.

Just one more tool in the tool box!

~I attended the Daughters of the King Epiphany Eucharist & Brunch. Fr. Jim led the service. It was great food & wonderful fellowship.

~I finished the Garland of Blossoms scarf in Black/Multicolors and worked on scrap squares.

~I made Mike a ham/cheese wrap with honey wheat pretzels for supper.

Happy New Year!!

Let's party like it's 1773!

~We were in bed by the normal time, but the fireworks at midnight woke up.

~We got groceries at Walmart & Smith's.

~I attended 10:30 A.M. service where I was Crucifer, Acolyte, Lay Reader & LEM. I had taken half a pan of Dark Chocolate Chunk Punkin Cake. I did security check, too.

~I made a Durango Hat in Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn Dark Olive with a rust button.

~Mike got off at 3pm. We had a "date nite" of pizza, watching Cowboys & Aliens (which we enjoyed alot!)and Ben & Jerry's.

Two ways...

...choose wisely

~I stopped at Big Lots before heading up to the church to help load bags at the Food Pantry. Julie had not brought in the groceries, so I went to the office & sorted mail & checked emails. I also went through the church & picked up bulletins. She arrived with the groceries & we packed the bags.

~I got yogurt, flatbreads & bagels at Smith's.

~At the Family Thrift Center I got me 2 shirts & Mike a tweed overcoat.

~Back home, I made fudge brownie.

~I started a special-order Garland of Blossoms scarf in shades of blues & purples.

~The overcoat was too small for Mike.

~I made Mike a chicken bacon cheese wrap for supper.
