My life!
There will always be those predators in society who will take down the oldest, smallest or weakest in the herd. Even the odds.
O, Death, where is your sting? O, Hell, where is your victory? O, Church, come stand in the light. Our God is not dead, He's alive, He's alive!-Christ has risen, Matt Maher
I accidentally left out 1 cup of rice cereal when I made this batch. They turned out more dense, but still yummy!
...she knows exactly what to do, if necessary.
Nothing says "warm weather is here" more than cargo shorts (clearance discount store), bright camp shirt (thrift store), & shell/cord choker (from mom-thrift store). So looking forward to it!
This is my Oatmeal Jam Bar recipe using a jar of Sourcherry (yes, that is how it was spelled on the bottle) jam from Big Lots "international" section. It was more of whole cherries in thick syrup, then real jam. It was very liquidy when it came out of the oven, but turned out very chewy. The guys really liked it!
I saw pictures of Flower Pens & thought they were cool. So, I used my Star Flower pin pattern & modified it to fit an ink pen (10-count pack for $1). I made each one a different color. I like them!
Kiss My Pig Cookies-I used a chocolate chip cookie recipe, substituting bacon grease for the butter & chopped up Hershey's Kisses for the chips. So good, even a pig will go cannibal for them!
I actually wore this outfit last summer to a wedding, but makes me long for warmer weather. I picked the skirt (half-price!), then found the shirt to match (also half-price!), pairing it with a wood bead necklace (thrift store), burl oak bangle (custom made for me by a KY artisan), and strappy brown leather sandal (not pictured, but also from the thrift store). This outfit was different than I normally wear, and though pretty and it looked good on me, I was uncomfortable in it. I do like the color/pattern, though.

Scrap Granny Square lap blanket, joined with retro Red Heart Sparkling yarn in Apricot Nectar, for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry.

I had a special birthday request to make "something with oatmeal & cinnamon". I chose Oatmeal Carrot Muffins, but made them in my Twinkie pan. They were muck liked!
This is another of those "reminds me of Kentucky" displays. The rack is from a thrift store, while the lap blanket was from a yard sale.
