These little cross-stitch quilts remind me of KY! I got them on the Valentine 1/2-price anything with red in it or on it(they came in a bag with a red tag) sale at the Family Thrift Center.
~The office was busy when I arrived. The counters were there & the Hunter's were there with a rep going over products. I sold 2 Butterfly Pinafores (the cream one & brown one) to Pam. I actually got all done today I wanted to!
~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red with Black trim & a Black star flower centered with a silver heart.
Gunfighter Brownies dressed up for Valentine's Day
~I took my yarn with me to the church parking lot and started a Roseburg Hat in Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Mustard, waiting for Fr. Jim to pick me up. He drove us to St. Chad's for the NW Deanery meeting, my first such meeting as a delegate for St. Mary's . We met Ms. Dorothy there, who is an Alternate. It was an interesting meeting, not near as boring as I had expected. I did work on the hat during the lunch break, almost completing it. I was back home by 3pm.
~I started a load of laundry & added a flower pin to the hat in periwinkle.
Button Garland in Multicolor/Ecru sold to Linda in NY
~Mike took me to work. I got the bulletins done with no problem & finished the parochial report.
~Revolver Date Nite: After warmups, we shot with our eyes closed with reloads. The idea is to own your stance, which includes removing the gun from the holster & having your body positioned in such a way that you are on target, even in the dark.
I choose to take responsibility for my own protection!
~Mike drove me to work, then came back later so we could attend Ash Wednesday service together. Busy day at the office. I got the newsletter printed out, the e-version completed, worked on a music insert for Lent & started on the minutes from last nights Vestry meeting. Did not get everything done I wanted to!
~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red Heart Lustersheen Silver gray with a blue flower pin.
A gift from Mom-Keepsake Chest made in Boston, KY. I use it to hold my recipe cards.
~I stopped at Big Lots (multi grain chips & ink pens) before heading up to the church to help load bags at the Food Pantry. I work on the newsletter & printed out a rough draft. I got a skein of Yarn Bee Hushabye in Chocolate brown.
~Back home, I made a pan of fudge brownies.
~I designed a pattern for Flower ink pen covers & made four of them.
Granny Square lap blanket in Pinks for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry.

~I made a Wenatchee Hat in unknown Charcoal/Cool Pearls.
Yesterday was cold & cloudy. We woke up to snow this morning. Check out the blue, sunny sky!
~Mike drove me to work, then cleared the sidewalks around the church. I mailed bills, worked on the newsletter & printed out bulletins for the committal.
~Date Nite: After warmups, we worked on going slower to feel the gun. I was off, I think because people in the big range were being unsafe with their weapons. The glass in between is not bullet-proof. After break, we shot with our eyes closed & I did better.
~I went up to church at 8:10am to make an announcement about the craft show & stayed for the rest of the service. I then attended Bible Study. I served as Crucifer, Lay Reader, Acolyte & LEM at the 10:30 AM service.
~I made a Button Garland in Natural/Mix.
~We had omelet wraps for supper.

Another gift from my Mom, this one from an indoor flea market here in Albuquerque. Wrought Farberware from Brooklyn, NY, aluminum plate holder in Morning Glories pattern with Limoges Imperial Victorian plate from the 1950's-1960's.
~The AC guys called early, so we headed up to the office around 8:15am. It turned out to be a $400 repair! I worked on craft show stuff, printed bulletins & worked some more on the parish list. We gave away 20 bags at the food pantry.
~Date Nite: Randy got caught in traffic, so Mike & I ran warm-ups. We then did timed two to the body at the 7yd line. I was 1.7. We then did the whole night of strong hand/off hand drills, which included Class-3 malfunctions, which I had never done with the XDm. My Kahr I could never lock back with my left hand, but this was SO much easier! The first drill, I was first done, the second time, second done. I am so happy!
Sour Cream Cornbread in Mixed Berry Jam Swirl, Apple Butter Swirl & Fiesta Cheese
~Mike took me to work, where he checked on things before attending mass. I worked on bulletins, typed up minutes from last nights meeting & payed bills. We enjoyed coffee hour. I finished going through the parish books & called 3 people to inquire about their status.
~I made a Flapper Beanie in retro KMart Sayelle Teak/unknown Dusty Rose ombre.
I went a long time without wearing pink. It was too stereotypical & I refused to be put in that box. I now realize that you can be girly & still be a gunfighter. Being feminine in pink is camo!
~At the office, I worked on bulletins & the parish parochial, which consist of matching names with our books, of which there are about 10 to go through, since St. Mary's used to be two other churches that merged in 1989. Some of the past admins did not keep good records. I emailed out 3 more applications for the spring craft show!
~I made a Sweet Skullcap in Red Heart Lustersheen Pastel Ombre with a Black flower pin centered with a pink bow.
~I made Mike a grilled cheesy hotdog wrap, honey wheat pretzel & sweet pickle supper. I had Beef Barley soup.

~I made a Wrist Cuff in Sinfonia (mercerized acrylic)Rust with olive/gold buttons. This was a bit leftover from a hat I made for myself quite a while ago. It is cool!
~We watched Open Range. This is one of the best "new" westerns out there.
Thrifting must run in the family! My mom found this tapestry bag (another of my collections) for me at her KY Goodwill store. Both my sisters also thrift.
~I attended Daughters of the King.
~I made a Butterfly Pinafore in Baby Bee Hushabye Baby Sage with vintage caramel buttons in size 1. It is adorable! I really like this yarn. I did find 2 shirts for me, a short skirt for making yo-yo's and a ugly blouse with pretty button at Good Deals (.99 Goodwill store). I dropped off Peanut Butter Crispies for the Napa Boys.
