~Mike & I got groceries at Walmart & Smiths.
~I dropped off Chunky Cherry Cake for the Napa Boys before heading to church. I handed out Albertsons tags & quarterly statements after the service.
~Back home, I finished a Boa Scarf in RHS Buff/Moda Dea Wild Russet.
~I ended up singing the communion hymn with Lauren,though she let me take the lead. She is a soprano while I am a contralto,so our voices go together well. We heard good feedback,so we will most likely do a duet again.

This sign(3.99 at the Family Thrift Center) was a pale pine until I lightly sanded it & rubbed it with brown shoe polish. It now looks like an antique!
~I stopped at Big Lots before heading up to the church. I bought the last 2 glucosomine drinks, but did find raisins, caramels & hard candy for 1/2 price.
~At church, I called in payroll, adding a new organists & sorted mail. Chuck said he would load the Food Pantry bags tomorrow,since he had an appointment this morning.
~I didn't find anything at Goodwill, but did get a "God Bless Our Home" wooden plaque at the Family Thrift Center.
~Back home, after lunch, I made chocolate brownines, bacon & cut up pecans. I lightly sanded the plaque & added brown shoe polish. It looks more rustic!
~I made a rose pin in a wool/mohair blend Red for the Waffle Stitch scarflette I made a few days ago. I also worked on the Painted Desert/Windsor Blue round ripple blanket.
~Mike closed the store then helped Jason load his bike into his truck.

Boots & Jeans granny shawl for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry. Yarn donated by Anne. ~I went up to the church & watered the trees. The grass had been mowed earlier & Fred was up there edging. The parking lot guy came & blew the sand off.
~At Goodwill, I got a sleeveless denim shirt & a tea cup. At the Family Thrift Center, I got a wooden rake(wall decor), a cane for Mike, an infusing teaspoon & a mini cookie/candy/tart pan.
~Back home, I made a double-batch of Chocolate Jubilee cookies. It took FOREVER!. I was able to do a load of laundry & sweep the floors,while making the cookies, which turned out to be about 8 dozen. Mine aren't as pretty as the ones online,but they taste great!
~I made a Waffle Stitch Scarf using a skein of Patons Decor in Pale Taupe. It is actually about half-way between a scarf & a neckwarmer. I plan to add a rose pin.

In a batch of yarn my mom sent me were these vintage knitting needles. The text is in German. I started them on Ebay for .99. There was a bidding war the last day & they ended up selling for $8.05 to Tammy in MI.

Candy Corn lap blanket for St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry. I used the Holiday Stripes Throw pattern,but only one strand worsted yarn & an I hook. Yarn donated by Karen.
Heavy wire hanger(looks like a garden rake)with tiny hand-blown glass pitcher & chicken-motif measuring spoons.~My phone is still working this morning!
~I watered the trees at church. Roland was there interviewing an organist. He likes old cars & today, he was driving a 1959 Chevy Impala 2-door in Red/White. It was so cool!
~I got a long-sleeve cover shirt(Cruel Girl calico print)& a tea gift book. I didn't find anything at The Family Thrift Center.
~For the Food Pantry, I got peanut butter at Dollar Tree and mandarin oranges & pork beans at Big Lots. I will get the mac & cheese at Smith's on Sunday.
~Back home, I swept the floors.
~I enjoyed a cup of Celestial Seasonings Chocolate Caramel Enchantment Chai while crocheting a 4 3/4" coaster in doubled #10 Oasis(sage,cream,taupe,cadet blue ombre)using a Lily Sugar 'N Cream Spring Dahlia Dishcloth pattern(login required to download pattern). It turned out pretty,but is all trc's. I would not make it again.
~I spent the rest of the afternoon working on the Color Block granny lap blanket.
~Mike had to close. We had PB/AB wraps for supper.
Blondies with Rainbow Mini Kisses-if I make these again, I will sprinkle the chips on top.
With proper training,we are not the "weaker" sex. Refuse to be a victim!
