Sunday-August 30
~I was so busy yesterday morning preparing food for the reception,I wasn't able to get online.
~I made a tray of plain eggs with cheese chunks & carrot sticks,a tray of spinach eggs with dill pickles,a tray of peanut butter/raisin cinnamon mini-sandwiches & pulled from the freezer 24 mini-oatmeal cookies & 14 zucchini muffin tops.
~Confirmation went well.I was very nervous & almost tripped on my skirt after the bishop blessed me,but I recovered,LOL.The reception was also nice.
~Mike,Susie,Anne,Wyatt,Jenny,Kyle,Sarah & I went out to the west side shooting. It was fun,but my nose got sunburned!
~We had bacon cheeseburgers for supper.
Gingham Granny lap blanket
~Hike to Shelter Rock.
~I stopped at Big Lots for cereal fruit bars for food-bag extras.I also got a box of FiberOne chocolate toaster pastries & a box of Yogi African Redbush Peach tea.
~Chuck is gone a week to visit folks in Kansas,so I packed 20 bags by myself. It took about 15 minutes longer than usual.
~I went to Good will & found a tapestry jacket,a candle,a book,a picture frame & misc greeting cards. The lady must have given me the senior discount because this all came to under $6!
~I got a priority shipping box at the post office, but the line was too long to get the eight 1cent stamps I had planned to get.
~Everybody was busy at Napa,so I just left the Ginger Doughboys on Jason's desk.(Mike later texted me,asking when I had come, since he didn't see me)
~I did 2 loads of laundry,vacuumed the floor & wrote thank-you cards.
~I got the yarn I ordered for special-request Flapper Skullcaps & made one in LB CottonEase Golden Glow.I spent the rest of the afternoon working on the Scrap Ripple lap blanket.
~We had grilled smoked sausage for supper.
~We watched about 1 1/2 episodes of the Season 1 of "The Shield".We won't be watching anymore of it.
